Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI) is a registered charity focused on serving its community. LCDI was founded in 1987 in response to high levels of unemployment within the community, with the organisation’s earlier days focused on creating job opportunities across a range of community projects.
Today, 35 years later, LCDI is still committed to its employment ethos and to continuously assessing and meeting the needs of its community, with a unique range of projects to tackle the current requirements of the community. As of 2024, LCDI currently provides the following services:
Family Centre
Adult Daycare Centre
Volunteer Centre

We work with a range of statutory and volunteer bodies at regional and local level to help address our community need from within our historic buildings and site that were the Limavady Union Workhouse and the old Roe Valley Hospital. Our premises provide unique environment with catering facilities for community groups, voluntary organisations, and others, to book or rent.
